Dear Readers,
Before deciding whether or not you’re actually interested in reading my blog, I have a few words of caution. For one, I have absolutely NO former blog/journaling/food reviewing experience. For two, I’m completely terrified to jump on the band wagon, however, I have no clue why that is. Three, I have the epitome of what a facebooker would deam an “it’s VERY complicated” relationship with food. Not unlike many of my food blog idols, food and I have been on one hell of a rollercoaster. While not all of this ride has been bad, it seems to mimic that of Disney’s Space Mountain in that while it’s enticing at first-the ride ultimately makes you sick. Throughout this blog journey, I hope to share more and more, little by little about my story and my life-as though we were really just getting to know one another (the idea of spilling my guts on a first date just doesn’t sound classy). Perhaps it is a wee selfish of me, but I’m actually hoping to use this blog as a tool to help in the healing process between myself and food. Kind of like marriage counseling. Alright, so maybe that’s personifying this relationship a bit extremely, but it is a relationship that I know needs a bit of healing and is essential to my life, literally.
Just to get you started, though, I’ll throw out a few basic biographical facts so you get a basic idea of this Paula Dean Wannabe
name: Mary Ann Thompson
age: 22 (until Nov. 18)
sex: lass
address: Shelburne, Vermont
inspiration: refer to blog title
If you have any specific questions I am completely open to answering them (so long as they are appropriate according to my subjectivity). Just shoot me an e-mail or leave a comment!
